I don't mind him but hope he brings Danny Baker with him to do his script, otherwise laughs may be a bit thin on the ground. It was Clarkson's show, so I'm not sure it'll work whatever re-boot they have planned, especially if his interview on TFI with Hamilton is anything to go by?

It was quite rightly "dumbed down ", rather that than Chris Goffey rattling on about the turning circle of an Austin Montego or somesuch nonsense .

The dumbing down happened about 10 or 15 years ago when they turned it from an informative programme about cars into a gimmicky entertainment show with a live audience. It was quite entertaining though I have to admit.

Chris Evans appointment does not constitute dumbing down as the show was already dumb. This is maintaining the status quo.

I found TFI Friday incredibly irritating the other night, but that was probably more about the programme format than the host.
He will probably suit TG very well. I doubt we'll notice the difference after a couple of episodes. As long as he doesn't have Wiiiiill as one of the co-hosts.

Evans is a superb DJ and presenter.
All the TOGS cunted him off when he took over from Wogan, so I bet they feel like knob heads now that he's put over a million extra listeners onto the morning show - including youngsters.
Not a programme I watch anyway, but at least the bloke knows and loves cars.
More embarrassing is ITV giving Grimshaw a role on X Factor. Now that bloke is a cock.

Don't have a problem with Chris Evans hosting this, as long as the BBC doesn't go all PC with it and brings in a fucking woman, ie Jodie Fucking Kidd and it an ethnic.

be interesting to see what changes they make to the show, evans is not going to do a bad job i wouldn't have thought but it will certainly be different
